When you participate in a Deed Maps market, you can act as either an Owner or a Grader. Depending on the market, you may take on both roles—but never at the same time. For example, as a Grader, you won’t be able to grade your own assets.
As an Owner, you’ll submit your assets to Deed Maps by providing high-resolution images and answering a few questions. Once accepted, your asset will receive an AI-generated grade, and you’ll have your own online registry with a controllable public view of the asset. If grading services are available in the market, you can select the desired number of market-approved Graders and specify the minimum Grader rank.
As a Grader, you’ll unlock your expertise, gaining recognition and financial rewards. After passing a skills test and staking your reputation with CARTO tokens, you can begin claiming grading requests. You’ll use standardized online tools, and eventually AI hints, to review images, identify defects, take notes, and assign grades. By consistently aligning with other graders’ results, you’ll earn payments and improve your rank with each verified grade. As your rank rises, you’ll become a more influential community member, helping refine defect weightings to better reflect evolving trends.
